Challenge #86 - Geometry

Lynne here.  Happy Memorial Day everyone.  I am sorry I am late.
This week's challenge is to use one dominant shape on your layout.
There is only one twist, you can't use a circle.
I was inspired by a layout I pinned a long time ago on Pinterest.  I hope you are all inspired too.
I look forward to seeing all the wonderful creations you all come up with.

Joy

This week I made a mini canvas. I used a stencil in the background for my 1st geo-pattern then I
paper pieced the tea cup and used another geo-pattern.

Barb
For my layout I used a lot of stars.

Milena
I also used triangles in my layout.

Challenge #85 - Tool Time

This week's challenge is to dig into your stash of tools. You know the ones I'm talking about. The ones you just had to go out and get. The ones you just couldn't live without but now you barely use.

I used my old CM wavy cutter on this page to cut the paper behind my photos. What tool will you use?

Sarah used her We R Memory Keepers Brad Setter and Piercing tool for this cute little project life card holder.

Lynne
I loved the idea of the Distrezz-It-All.  I had to have it.
This is a big deal as other than punches, I don't buy may tools.

Barb
I pulled out my We R Memory Keepers Crop-a-dile for this project. It's been a while since I've used this ... and snaps. I love using my stash!

Challenge #84 - Focused on Flowers

Hi crafty peeps, welcome back to UYS.

This weeks challenge was inspired by the saying April showers bring May flowers. Your challenge is to get focused on using flowers. Make flowers the main embellishment on your project this week.

Have fun and dig out those flowers from your stash.

Lynne

Each of my flowers are made form 8 punchie hearts folded in half as petals.

#83 - Texturize

Welcome to a new week and a new challenge here on the Use Your Stuff Blog.
I've been having a lot of fun lately, playing with texture paste, so I thought it would be fun to see how everyone else can add texture to their project. So, the challenge this week is to add texture to your page, card, or altered project. In my sample, I used the Martha Stewart Texture Effects along with my reverse chicken wire template. On that I ran my inked sponge to pick up some colour, and then sprayed with my mists. I also added texture with some mesh ribbon and rippling a word strip. There's lots of ways to texturize.

So, let's see how you add texture. Don't forget to come back here to link up your project. We'd love to see it.

Milena
I had a lot of fun with this. Using texture on a page way out of my comfort zone. I used Liquitex Transparent Texture Gel with Glass Beads and a bit of mist to create the circle behind the photo, on the bottom of the tag and in the upper right corner of the page. It was a lot of fun!!

Lynne
This is so far out of my comfort zone, as I have no texture gel or anything similar.
I enjoyed it the challenge though, and used what I had on hand, ribbons, rick rack, bling twine and mesh.
I hope you like how this turned out as much as I did creating the layout.
